Race for Impact: Turn Your HYROX Race into a Force for Good

HYROX is all about pushing limits – now, you can race for a cause that matters. In partnership with High Impact Athletes (HIA), we’re launching Race for Impact, a chance to fundraise for global charities while racing. Please note that by committing to charity, you commit to fundraising, which translates into you putting effort to raise money via your social network.

You’ll have the chance to Race for Impact by choosing the Charity Ticket option when you sign up for your next HYROX event. Look out for tickets called CHARITY I HYROX . Once purchased, HIA will contact you via Email to help you to create your fundraising platform on raceforimpact.com

CAUSE AREAS

By choosing to Race for Impact with HIA, you can choose from 5 important cause areas that are close to your heart:

  • Global Health
  • Climate Solutions
  • Mental Health
  • Women’s Empowerment
  • Animal Wealthfaire

If you want to find out more about the charities HIA works with, read more here or reach out directly to HIA. They are always happy to provide more insights.

HIA is very careful to select charities that may not have big names, but that have proven to deliver the greatest impact in terms of how effectively donations are used and the tangible change they create.

FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS

Your mission is simple: rally support from your network to help meet your minimal fundraising goal or more before race day.

The minimum fundraising requirement is:

  • €300* for Singles
  • €500* for Doubles – as a team –
  • €800* for Relay teams – as a team –

*These prices may vary slightly depending on local markets currencies.  Here you can search for the requirements for the country you want to race in.

Please note that – as a team – means that your collective effort as a team is measured in reaching the fundraising goal. It is not important how much each individual races until the sum is met.

Why is the fundraising goal important: we want to make change happen, and in order to really maximize effort and effect these numbers come out of expert calculation based on what is easily achievable and still what sum is a minimum to really start powering change.

We know the numbers might scare you at first, but rest assured that it’s really possible to collect that amount of money. High Impact Athletes will be with you every step of the way and send out to you Newsletter full of ideas and tricks to help you archive the target!

WHAT DISTINGUISHES HIA FROM OTHER CHARITIES

  • Total autonomy: Choose Your Cause. You control where your effort goes, making the training feel personal.
  • Radical Accessibility: Race For Impact has a Low-Barrier Entry. 85% of HIA athletes meet their goal within 14 days; our average target (minimum fundraising goal) is 40% lower than traditional major charity slots.

High performance impact: We treat your impact like a PR. Track your fundraising milestones like you track your splits. All visible in your personalized dashboard.

WHAT ARE MY BENEFITS

The charity ticket is discounted to encourage as many people as possible to fundraise. To prevent misuse, anyone who doesn’t meet the minimum goal will be blacklisted and won’t be able to purchase a charity ticket in the future. However, regular race tickets will still be available.

Included in your ticket is the option to have a fast lane check in at registration. Just look out for the Branded Charity ticket Counter, so you can skip the line and get race ready quickly.

Lastly, HIA might surprise you on race day with some small gifts or activations, to make your experience fully memorable.

DID YOU KNOW?

In 2025, across just 10 events and with 8,000 charity racers, we raised $1.3 million in donations for charity. This is a massive start and we cannot thank your community enough to participate in this movement we truly believe in.

FAQ

If the minimum fundraising target is not met, the Charity Ticket will be still valid for the race and you are able to participate, but you will be blacklisted from purchasing Charity Tickets for any future HYROX events. This means you will only be able to participate in future races using regular (non-charity) tickets. These rules are in place to prevent misuse of discounted Charity Tickets and to ensure that Race for Impact creates genuine charitable impact. We hope all participants take this commitment seriously.

Unfortunately, Charity Tickets are non-refundable. During checkout, participants had the option to purchase the name change (Lite Flex) specifically to insure against situations like injury or unexpected circumstances.

If you purchased the Lite Flex option, you can do a name change and transfer the ticket to another person via your HYROX Account. In this case, all fundraising commitments and already collected donations are automatically transferred to the new participant. This means the new racer does not start from zero, and your fundraising efforts are not wasted.

If you did not purchase the Lite Flex option, we’re unfortunately unable to offer a name change. If you cannot attend the event, all donations you have already collected will still go to charity. If you reach out until 1 week before an event to our customer support, we will make sure to not blacklist you. This applies regardless of whether the minimum fundraising target was reached or not.

Your efforts will still create a positive impact, even if you’re unable to race.

No, that’s not possible. Charity Tickets come with a binding fundraising commitment. Conversions or refunds are subject to HYROX’s ticket policies and are not guaranteed.

When a Charity Ticket is invalidated or cancelled, the participant’s Race for Impact profile is automatically archived, and you will no longer get any communications from HIA. If you continue to receive communication after ticket invalidation, please contact Race for Impact directly: info@raceforimpact.com. The team can verify your profile status and resolve the issue. Apologies if a mistake like that happened, we will ensure as fast as possible that it will get solved.
